uh..new sem .. is it?

Well, if you simply think, yes it is a new semester. But have you ever wondered, why do we call a semester - a new semester ? I mean, what’s new in it? (we again have to study after all ! ) . Of course the subjects are different, we work under different professors, but aren't we experiencing this change every time we get into a so called “new semester”? then what’s new in it?

What actually makes us feel that it’s a new semester is our own feeling. The way we feel at the beginning of each semester, the new enthusiasm, the new motivation, the hope to do better, and the freshness we have!

I bet, every time you go home after a sem ends you make plans for the coming sem. Take for example my friend Uday. He had planned (at the end of 2nd sem) three things he will definitely do the next sem (3rd sem).

1. A beautiful morning jog (daily)
2. Evening - GYM
3. And the most important - to attend all the classes and lectures (which is quite common)

And do you think he did it? Oh! You very well know the answer....no, not even for a single day !
And it’s not the case only with him, it’s very natural, and all of us are a part of this. We all plan certain things for a new semester, but all of us fail, may be in the very beginning or for some, after a little while! but we all do. (and I am not talking about exceptional here).

Coming back to the point about the new feeling, I already expressed that getting new books, new lecturers doesn’t make a sem a new sem, unless and until you feel it from within !

And from the past experiences its quite clear, that planning back home about the new sem, is useless and such a waste of time! So this time, I haven’t. And with it, there is no way that I feel like, I am doing a new semester. It’s the same old crap engineering I am doing.

Any ways....lets welcome this brand new fourth semester :)

End of Sem III

Another sem ends...

Tomorrow is my last exam , and with that the sem ends. First sem was fun with 6 cg, second was little less fun and with 7cg, and this sem was least fun or should I say boring! And now I don't care about cg!

Each and every single thing we do is to make ourself happy. THINK!

People who study here and get good marks are happy; they study only because they want to gain happiness. They think of getting decent jobs, which make them happy, they know that their parents would be happy, which in turn make them happy. They know that people around them would appreciate them, love them which again make them happy!

People who don't study, they are happy too, they have their different visions. They bunk classes, play games, gossip, surf, do everything except studying, and this make them happy. Yes of course getting good marks will make them happy too, but for them happiness from other things are much more than that of getting good marks!

Ok let me ask you, why do you do anything? Say, I sit in front of library with my friends almost every night. This of course gives me happiness. You play , you tease your friends, you drink coffee, you walk , you run, you sleep, you study, you talk and every little thing you do makes you feel happy or if not you won’t do that thing. Simple!

Boys look out for girls, or girls look out for boys, they date, talk about their crushes, propose, all such things give happiness. Imagine a boy, who attends classes only to see the girl he likes, this of course gives him happiness, he thinks about her, which makes him happy.

Some times you say that you are doing something to make others happy, but that in turn makes you happy, thinking that you have done something for him.

So now, its up to you, to decide what makes you happy? Walking alone on a lonely road? dancing in the rain? studying under table lamp? gossiping with friends? talking on phone? teasing others? sleeping? flirting? or writing blog the night before examination ?

P.S. Its a personal view, so no compulsion that you beleive this.

3rd semester

This semester is really going to be very busy. You can make this out, by my irregular posts.

Besides studying, I with my friends have started a Promotion Club, whose basic functions are to promote our college in any way, whether it be a campus life movie, or colleger T-shirts, etc.

This is going to function in full swing soon after our Test 1.

Also, my friend Ashok Mittal (Ashokie) has started his own radio station - DHOOM DHAMAKA, in the campus. It can be assesed by LAN.

And this is becoming very popular in our campus (the number of listners even crossed the offical campus radio) . It airs many weird incidents, jokes, dedications, and a special program -- LAGE RAHO KHATTU BHAI-- which is really making a lot of fuss. Till now, the program is only being advertised (which is definietly creating a lot of interest), and after test one we will air our first ever episode of the program LRKB.

The main time taking thing is to direct an official feature film (includes writing script, and videography) based on our campus life. Hope this works out well, as goa has many nice locations, and our campus itself is very beautiful.

Studies are important too, so exam times are devoted only to study.

second sem ends...

Nothing special happened after i became 19. Exams went fine, yet i didn't recover over my poor marks in earlier exams. But this time I will, for sure , get good CG than the previous semester.

And I wont say anything about next semester, because someone has told me, not to say that " I will do this , I will do that, just do it and keep quite. Lets other see themselves, what you have done."
