I was talking to one of my friends about exams and assignments, and both of us agreed that examination system in India is very bad, or better say it sucks !!
Compared to foreign countries, where a student is accessed for all his qualities, here in India they only check and grade their academic/bookish knowledge. Credits are not given for extra curricular activities or sports.
As a result students ignore such activities and focus only on academics, and life becomes hell for them !!
How better it would have been ! if we had subjects like of Counter-Strike/ AOM/ Badminton/ Football / Painting/ Dance/ Music/ etc. to choose along with physics, chemistry and maths. And equal weight age should be given to all the subjects.
This will help a student to reduce his burden, enjoy his life, and to excel.
But this is INDIA !!
At least I am little lucky that in my college there's a system of relative grading, which do reduce the burden of Pass or Fail :)
.
Mr VAtsa..I strongly disagree wid u. After all its the academic curriculum of Indian students that values them above all..Yes may be foreign institutes give credit for all over development of a child..But here cums the startling question- Why do they prefer Indian students for jobs rather than giving preference to their own??..the answer is clear - INDIAN ACADEMIC SYSTEM IS REGARDED AS ONE OF the BEST IN THE WORLD...

ReplyDeletegud u've implemented my suggestion.....but u knw i culd go in a debate with this guy above me.
tk cr
i differ from u mr lokesh harnal. who said that indian students are given prefrence over others...and neither is the indian academic system is regarded as one of the bests..these are all baseless facts.
ReplyDeletewhat ankit said is correct that , we have a lot of examination stress, and they focus only on academics..
A reason why Indians are bagging so many jobs these days is that they come kinda cheap. The avg salary that an Indian gets for a job is still decently lower than what an American gets, even in US!
ReplyDeleteBut the education system is not all that bad in India. Cummon you guys. The fact that we are sons of a developing country makes it clear that we need to work harder than those who have the advantage of being a part of a developed nation. Comparing education systems across nations is not a good idea especially when there are so many dissimilarities.
But yes, this system will gradually change and adapt itself as India grows.
i disagree with lokesh.indian system doesn't give precisely ur subject knowledge.it is very simple ,it is not at all realistic.but indian students r best.(no offence)
ReplyDeletehey the above guy isankit govil...so dont confuse him wid me
