Mother’s Day is a wonderful day of rejoicing and honouring a mother and her motherhood; strengthening maternal bonds; Celebrated on various days in many parts of the world, most commonly May. It was in 1908 that Anna Jarvis from America dedicated a day in the memorial of her mother and then began a campaign to make “Mother’s Day” a recognised holiday in the United States. In 1914, her efforts resulted into success and Mother’s day became an official Holiday in US. Today, it is celebrated widely across the globe by one and all. Thanks to Anna Jarvis, She made this happen and offered us an opportunity to express our love to our beloved Mother. In India, we celebrate it on 12th of May and express love by presenting mother’s day gifts.
